Jürg Hugentobler platziert seine beiden Inseln als Kontraste zur städtischen Natur, sie wirken wie zwei Lebewesen auf fremden Planeten. Ihre Formen und ihr Aussehen finden Anlehnungen an Boden- und Standsockel von antiken Figuren.
